Learning Guitar With Jamorama
If you are in the market for a guitar learning method then you’ve probably heard of Jamorama, after all it’s probably among the top ten well know guitar learning methods on the internet. If you have been pondering over which one to get then I may be able to save you some time by giving you an idea about what the method is and who it’s good for. Firstly, can you learn to play guitar with an online method or should you use a teacher? Well, this can be a difficult argument but the simple answer is a most definite yes. Whether or not it’s a good idea however will depend mostly on what you want to learn. For instance if you want to learn classical or flamenco etc then the self taught option is not really a good idea. I’ll take a wild guess and presume that if you are looking at online guitar methods then that’s not the style of music you are hoping to teach yourself anyway. Many thousands of rock, blues and country guitarists have gone on to become professional guitarists without ever having a formal guitar lesson. In the blues genre it could even be the majority. So, back to the Jamorama review. If you are a complete beginner or intermediate player looking for new ideas and ways to improve then Jamorama is perfect for you. Jamorama has recently been updated and now comes in two versions, standard and deluxe. The standard version is aimed at beginners and introduces you to the common guitar chords, strumming techniques, tuning the guitar, how to hold the guitar and includes a bunch of jam tracks for you to practice along with and videos with two angle camera shots so that you can really see if you are doing it right, something you do not get from a guitar book! It covers pretty much all the stuff you need to take you from beginner to an intermediate level. If you want to learn lead guitar then the deluxe version is the one you need. It also includes the chord and rhythm version (standard version) so you get the complete package. Before the Jamorama update it was possible to buy the standard and the lead version separately but now both versions are combined in the deluxe. This is good news if you wanted both because it’s now cheaper with both versions combined, unfortunately it’s not so good if you already have the basic rhythm skills and only want to learn lead guitar.
